"How to Make Green Tea Ice Cream"

How to Make Green Tea Ice Cream


Ingredients :
*      ¾ cup milk
*      2 egg yolks
*      5 tablespoon sugar
*      ¾ cup heavy cream, whipped
*      1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
*      3 tablespoon hot water

Equipment :
*      A medium bowl
*      A Saucepan
*      A large bowl
*      A ice cream maker
*      A plastic container
*      Freezer
*      A Ice cream scoop
*      A Serving bowl
*      A Tablespoon

To decorate :
*      Fudge sauce
*      Cherries
*      Wafer cookies

Steps :
*      First, In a medium bowl mix matcha powder and hot water well and set aside.
*      Second, In a saucepan, mix together egg yolks and sugar. Then gradually pour in milk, mixing well. Place saucepan over low heat and stir mixture until it thickened micture from the heat and let cool.
*      Third, Transfer cooled egg mixture to a large bowl, and add matcha mixture. Mix well. Gently stir in whipped heavy cream.
*      Fourth, Pour this ice cream better into a ice cream maker and churn for 20 minutes.
*      Next, Place in a plastic container and freeze for at least 2 hours.
*      After that, Remove mixture from freezer, stir well, and re-freezer for another 2 hours.
*      Then, Remove again from the freezer to stir thoroughly, and then replace the ice cream to freeze for a final 8 hours, or overnight (until completely set). The multiple freezings help create a creamier texture.

*      Finally, Once ice cream is set, add 2-3 scoops to a serving bowl and drizzle with fudge sauce. Decorate with cherries and wafer cookies to serve.
